Worship Practice & Service ! Christmas Season

It`s the time of the month again ! =) Just found out on Friday that Joseph is replacing Sam this week. =O It's okay..

This week: Welcome Jon Teoh to Team 3 (Introduced ourselves at practice) & WB Nooch ! Yvette`s joining us this week to replace our "missing" vocalists .. =] And, no electric guitarist (aka Team 3`s lead muso) this week..

So, practice was alright but again, it was tiring !! =| Went through the songs many times.. Lots of transitions here and there.. I used pwm strings the whole time... Didn't change cos it was too "mafan". (Musos tried singing Hosanna in A ; kinda alright but we sounded like we're straining our voices). Practice ended like nearly 7 pm so it was just nice for some of them - Quiz Night was at 7.30 !

Service went well - everything was smooth throughout, praise God ! Yvette led Angels We Have Heard on High !! ^^ Sustained D on KB 2. =D " Then we come to the Chorus of "I Surrender All", also led by Yvette.. Her sweet, high-pitched voice is really a gift from God ! It was sung in D ^^ Then slowly, drums start building up to the next song - "Forever Reign" ; KB1 comes in with the intro while we all musos blend in.. Next was.. Magnificent with the magnificent intro from KB 1 ! =) HAHA. Lastly, we had Hosanna (Be Lifted Higher) ! We went up one key in the bridge.. from G to A.. Ended on a * HIGHER * key. Ministry song. Believe. =)

Good job everyone.. was great serving with you once again !! Oh, I THINK I did more 'work' than last time.. =P Thanks Joseph for your help !!

* Team 3 retreat next year.. Dunno the dates yet.. Looking forward to it. Always wanted to ask if they have such a retreat. (THEY DO ! =D). At least I`ll get to know the other team members more.

Worship Practice and Service

This week is the second time I'm on keys ! =) But this time I have less 'work' to do... Just gotta hold / sustain the 'pads' or 'keys' and blend in with my fellow teammates. Moreover, we are singing fewer songs than previously so the praise and worship is gonna be short and sweet.

Songs for this week:

We're starting with "Jesus Be The Centre", followed by "Shine Jesus Shine", then, Nothing is Impossible (and the Bridge of Healer), and lastly, bridge of Jesus Be The Centre.

The 'chipmunk' voice recording by Wai Teng on "Shine Jesus Shine" was so cute man... =) Haha, he tweaked his voice for some reason... Well, he did this recording to show the tempo of the song (starts off slow then slowly builds up and gets fast).

Hmmm... I just realized that Nooch has disappeared ever since I started playing keys in Oct. Lol, he had swapped twice (this month and last month)... Oh well, I gotta get used to other drummers too, not just him. This week's team is a mixed team - we have Eugene on drums and Jordan on the bass. The rest of the members are still in, except that Alvin is recovering from a leg surgery (get well soon, bro).

So I'm all pumped up ! Practice was okay I guess? It was shorter... Still not independent in setting up my KB... Sigh, it's too heavy for me to carry so I'd to ask Sam to do it. I just concentrate on doing lighter set-ups. And I needed to practice sustaining cos apparently there's some sliding pitch (one of the musos heard). But it's okay, as long as I enjoy what I'm doing [thanks my mentor. Haha.]

Chatted a bit with my fellow teammates before service. Hah. Worship went well =] Just made a mistake on one chord - Joanna heard it from downstage =O but anyways that's just a small thing ~ Good job to everyone. (Not bad, no scolding from Luke overall. Lol.)

Farewell to Yong Xiang and Andrew K who will be going back to Singapore. Thanks for serving with us... was great serving alongside you guys at V-sesh / service in Oct. All the best in everything. God bless !

The Attitude of Gratitude

Gratitude is an attitude alot of people lack. Sometimes it's easier to complain...whine...especially when we don't have something we want. Complaining is so instant that we forget all about being grateful.

Look at the lyrics above. That's the attitude of gratitude - praising God for all your blessings ! We should all be grateful for what we have instead of complain about what we don't have. Think of things to thank God for.

This is a verse that reminds me to be grateful =) Apostle Paul went through good & bad times in his life, & he can actually say he's contented.

"I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want." (Philippians 4:13)

I thank God for everything He's given me - My life, my family, my friends, my education, my talents, the basic necessities I have, the luxuries of life...The list goes on.

Lord. I don't want to see myself complaining cos I do sometimes. But I'm forever grateful...yeah I am...I have so much to thank you for that there's no need to complain !! So...

Exams. D=
Oh yes, I know I'm having one (oral practical) this Sunday. Sunday?? =O I know it gave me a shock too.. But anyhow I CANT postpone the time & day cos it's FIXED.

Two weeks time... EALD ; how soon is that !
My ears have to be sharper than usual to ace the listening section ; my hands have to write a tad quicker for the synthesis of texts & creativity has to flow from my mind for the extended response !

Right now I should say...
Take it easy, esp EALD, since it's my strongest subject atm..

And I surrender my EALD exams to God. =) Same for the rest.

Oh yeah, praise GOD for a pretty speedy recovery.. was sick on Wedn. Was down with fever // headache, and sore throat (really not expected).. I couldn't really move around & was lying in bed for almost the whole day !! (whoa, thankfully I didn't fall sick during mocks. Man, God's so good !)

I think it was an attack // virus. Anyway, yest I was feeling better though I still felt tired (took two naps -.-). Now, still have slight sore throat ~ But I'm drinking home-made lemonade to hasten the recovery =)

You can not measure that slight lightheartedness & the brief relief you've after any exam. Neither can I... How indescribable !!

I'm a little relieved today now that I'm done with mocks... Notice the word little. Haha ! I actually don't have to bold the word since it's so noticeable (Duh!)
but I did anyway =)

Today, I'd finished my last mock exam paper, that is EALD... The paper is not too hard but I can't say its easy either... My actual exams will with EALD though. Kinda unusual eh... You may think, "So what??" (LOL)

So... while waiting for the results pretty patiently, I'm gonna be a stay-at-home student for this whole week =P Actually, in my heart, I'm getting kind of impatient. The whole of this afternoon is spent revising Chem =]

I'm not shaking my legs in case you're thinking so !! Haha... But anyway I'll become a more active blogger once my actual exams end ! ^^ This blog shall spring up with more updates as the year comes to a close ! =D

Gonna have to re-ignite the ideal blogging passion I used to have before those exams =) Slowly it's reigniting...

Today's a Day of Honour =)

Each and everyone can say this:Today's a day of honour, since the sermon is on honour ! =) Everyone deserves the honour that's due them. Always appreciating and complimenting people (instead of constantly criticizing or belittling them) is definitely something that should be advocated in today's world.
Honour has a biblical basis and this should be addressed to everyone.

"Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honour one another above yourself." (Romans 12:10)

Who, particularly, should be honoured?
1. Your father & mother
Amen to this !! =] They have raised us up & have given us what we need... We are promised long life if we honour our parents... (Ephesians 6:1)
Respect is earned, honour is given !

2. Those in authority
Respect these ppl ; they are appointed by God (Romans 13:1-7). =]

3. Pastors & spiritual leaders
Wanna thank the church pastors & leaders for being part of God's work. Your labour in the LORD is not in vain. And, Ruth & Rae for shepherding Kardy cell & ensuring that everyone feels belonged though there are so many of us recently =]

4. The "less" honourable
These are ppl who seem less noticeable or not noticeable at all cos they work "behind the scenes" at any event or at church... But they are the ones that deserve appreciation =] Not just those in the limelight...

Oh yes and I believe it's also a day of honour cos its my honour to serve the living GOD & give Him all the glory & honour !! First time playing keys here... And, I just realized after the sermon that Wai Teng chose 4 out of 6 of the songs that have the word "honour" in them !!!

Indeed, I truly express my appreciation to GOD for giving me the opportunity to serve Him ; all glory to Him !!! Not to forget, thanks Team 3 for your support !! =] You guys did a good job ^^

Exams Next Week?

Yes, it's really hard to believe that exams are next week... Mocks. I can say I've done heaps of preparation --> wait... but I didn't say I'm ready for the exams (yet).

Sunday's gonna be a 1/2 full day. So...basically ;
I still have Monday before Math, Monday and Tuesday before Accounting & Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday before Chem & Psy. Then, the week after I've EALD.

Almost there... God is on my side. Apart from Him I can do nothing. Yes, He's gonna show forth His strength through my weaknesses...

No worries, not feeling nervous. =] I just need more time to breathe, relax & most importantly to wait upon Him each day...

Jamjam [Worship & Jam] Sesh

- Haha, mind the title.. kinda weird right?? :P

Anyways ; had my first jam sesh. I know I have been talking about worship practice or training ~ finally got to jam ; gonna be officially "on" in Nov ; that's the news I've got today. Hmmm.. thankfully it's after my exams :D

So we jammed two songs: I Will Follow You by Chris Tomlin and Jesus be the Centre by Israel Houghton ; new stuff here.. But I kinda got the hang of it ` :) And haha, I dominated KB 1 ~ Decided to play on it ; Sam was on KB 2 this time.. but I think when I'm on I'll "start" on KB 2.

Jam went well I guess?? It was recorded after our practice time (muso and vocalists splitted) ; sounded pretty good but made some mistakes which is really audible !! At least got some feedbacks from Luke & Sam ; I think I'm sure I can improve.. Well I think everyone did a great job !!

Breaking News for the Week (:

I'd a speech assessment on Wed - had to write a speech 1st (that was an earlier assessment) then present it.

So yeah - and as you know I dread talking in front of the class n stuff.. just always feel that I'm not eloquent or have very limited ideas on speaking publicly (eventhough I got tips on great public speaking thru a video I've watched)

Look at Exodus 3:10 - I felt the same as Moses - when God asked him to speak to the ppl at that time..

10 Moses said to the LORD, “Pardon your servant, Lord. I have never been eloquent, neither in the past nor since you have spoken to your servant. I am slow of speech and tongue.”

So, of course I cant do it on my own - I prayed for God to help me ; always kept telling Him that I need His strength.. Further on in Exodus 3, God said He'll help Moses to carry out the purpose He intended for him.. and all.

And of course I claimed that He'll definitely help me...
So the time came when I gave my speech ; my teacher actually told me after - that I've improved (by leaps and bounds) ; I was like.. Oh yeah ho. I did.. sounded more confident that ever ; and I realized I fulfilled the criteria for a great speech. Plus I got good feedback from my friends.. and one of them told me I improved. :D Yay.

God's able and God was on my side. I believe so. Then when I check the result ; I almost screamed... the full mark is 20 and guess what...
I GOT 20 aka FULL MARKS.

Praise be to God ! He showed forth His strength through my weaknesses :) I'll never underestimate my capacity to give a speech or speak orally anymore. God's so great !!!

Heh, I'm back again... * talking as if I've left my blog for years -_-"

Hmmm, what's new?? A busy week, packed with tests & lecture notes is piling up to be revised... * * sounding like I've no energy left to blog... Oh well.

Exams on the way ~ D: Mocks you know. I CAN'T believe how this year passes by SO FAST. Not too long ago, I WAS just making new friends :) How soon will it be when I've to bid my frens (some, not all, hopefully) goodbye??

Aww...somemore two of my friends want to go Melbourneee ~ And almost everyone I know is going to the prestigious uni... Oh well... * talking at the speed of train... the rate at which time flies is just so HIGH...

Ohh whoops sorry I've gone off topic... * Typing as if I want to waste time and not study. Well... I'm sure you all know that I'd a week full of assessments... AND, had my first mock oral exam... * refreshing your memories...

GEE, it's not too bad, however hesitant I may have been... the visual stimulus wasn't too hard. I think I sounded pretty confident for Part B. Part C, not quite. I THINK this is not the way it should go... Didn't really talk until I was prompted with questions. OH WELL, but when it ended, I felt more light-hearted and relieved. :D

Unexpectedly, the result came out today ! Ahh... I passed (OF COURSE). I'd scream if I didn't. But definitely God helped me to get a decent mark ;) Above average for my class at least. ^^ Gonna strive to improve for my actual oral exam. The date also came out today... Will update you along the way ~

Worship Practice or Training 3

Well well... since today's practice was my "third" as an understudy, there's nothing really much to say in terms of my role.. But I'll mention a few things which kinda make this practice distinct from the first practice, second practice, or both. ;)

Firstly, Lisa is leading this Sunday ! Co-worship leader is Wai Teng. And we'd a shorter practice than usual (2 hours only). No need to set-up or anything like that because our practice wasn't at our usual place... Zion Praise Harvest Church used the place for their event ~ Hmm...

So I was one of those who came the latest though I live a stone's throw away from FC. How ironic... But one of my keyboardist in my team always come later than I do. Hehehe !! SO... Practice was good as usual I guess? You know I'd to go through the motion of observing how they practice (I didn't stone there much..LOL). =]

A Worthwhile Treat

So I literally walked to Curtin Uni with my clique for lunch today. :)

The seven of us... Tracy S, Tracy T, me, Kelly, Si-En, Mirii and Nat ~

It was time we went for a light workout - outside the walls of college - to feed our stomachs with something other than cafeteria or home-cooked food ~

So we paced through a few alleys and steps and arrived at the destination !!! Guess what? We had kebab from one of the cafes ; "the best ever" - according to Nat =P Hmmm...

It was a worthwhile treat... wanted to share it with my friend but nope, decided to have one on my own. :D Not expensive.

I had the lamb one ! Although it was hard to eat (Si-En said two or three times, "You okay??"), I still managed to finish it and chewed hard. It was nice ! ^^ Filled me up.

Walked back just on time for class. :)

Semester 2 Exams aka Mocks.

Oh mann. I feel so lazy today. Kinda wanna relax instead of studying BUT I'll definitely do revision later in the evening.

Hmmm. Semester 2 Exams is in a month's time =/ AND, you know what I just started on revising term 1's work !

I'm so relieved that I've got only a handful of assessments before my mocks ! That will make me feel good because I kept my head above waters for the whole year. God's great !!! ;)

Still can't believe mocks are just round the corner. I think I better do my revision SOON...

Chips (and Nuggets) from Christine ;)

Having a friend treat you chips (and nuggets) is really a treat =)
Haha, Christine treated me at college today ;) Of course I asked for chips (with some nuggets in the box)- shared the whole box ($5) with her though cos it was really ALOT and I couldn't finish it all by myself. So yeah. Finally !!

Eventhough we shared 1/2, I was still munching in those chips [and nuggets] at 3 something during "break" time ;) I ate my fruits first then finished the leftover chips [and nuggets.. hahaha !]. But of course it was kinda soggy ~ but I didn't wanna waste it so yeah. =P

Thanks alot Christine... Appreciate it ;D I HOPE there will come a chance for me to treat you... =P Hehehe...

PS. Rekindled memories. She treated me because I chose to go first for the tutorial presentation waaay back in August when she was suppose to go first. Instead she took my place of being the 7th presenter.

Reunion with Karlynn on Skype

Had an awesome reunion with my bestie Karlynn via Skype... whom I haven't seen for more than three years now... YEAH, that long.

Emailing her is nothing compared to seeing her face on Skype !! ;) I was just filled with pure excitement as I saw her again. Today was the very first time I actually video called her... =D She told me I looked so grown up. I think the same for her too >.< Great minds think alike !

We caught up with each other ~ =) Well I almost neglected my studies for that very precious moment... I had heaps to update her on. Seriously. Couldn't finish talking for even an hour I reckon, cos she had to go for class. But yeah - how amazing God is ! =] Reuniting us. AWESOME. Longing for that face-to-face reunion in the future !!!

You'll always be the bestie I'll never forget... ^^ eventhough we have lost contact for so long because of the distance that separate us and the different time zones we are in.

Spring, Life and Fellowship =)

Yay ! I'm full of the joys of spring because it's spring... ^^ Hmm... Another busy week has just gone by - in the snap of a finger, in the blink of an eye... Yes, that's how quickly week 6 went. It's time to ponder on all that had happened again, reflecting on the good & the not-so-good times. :) God's good, all the time.

On Tuesday, I was caught by surprise when I saw Bernice on the way back home from class. At the traffic light, she was waving to me ! Her car was just in front. I couldn't recognize her until I wore my glasses. Then I could clearly see who she was. Neither did I know she was heading towards my place until I realized she was turning into my street ! ;D Caught up with her after having not seen her for 4 months plus.

Had two assessments this week. Did my best for Chemistry though I'd be happier if I reap better results. The test I did on Monday was a bit of a rush ; but it wasn't too hard. Psychology.. On the contrary, the extended response was pretty satisfying though my hand really hurt after writing for 35 minutes straight. I got a better mark than my previous extended response back in Semester 1. My strenuous efforts in planning is paid off. :D

Needless to say, yesterday was cell night. I hosted again.. This was the biggest cell gathering ever, with an attendance of 16 people. Met two girls, Glenda and Gill. Chaos was what I least expected. Our meeting started off well with IB by Yvonne and then worship by Ben, then... Half way through worship the light bulb fused and it suddenly felt from the ceiling, causing a short circuit. Thankfully, God protected us. No major damage. Everyone was fine. At least, it wasn't a blackout ! The wall power sockets were still functioning so we had a source of light from the lamp that was in the lounge... But despite what had happened, we were still able to have the Word - we continued on "Outlive Your Life". Later the lights were "fixed" back to normal (Okay, I shall say, end of the story).

Started to count down... 61 days to go... Don't waste time !! HAHA.

The lyrics of this song, Great in All the Earth, suddenly came to my mind on Thursday (yes, a few days ago) afternoon - It happened so abruptly...I haven't heard that song being sung for months ~ The church has never sung it during service... the last time it was sung during V-session in March and cell in April.

I remembered precisely telling my mom that somehow God must have put the song into my mind... For whatever reason.. I don't know. It came to my mind so suddenly you know. Like, why would a song suddenly come to your mind right?? God definitely put that song into my mind !

I was thinking if (wasn't sure if they will) they sing it in church it must be God... who knows? And, as I said they have never sung this song during service this yr... I wasn't even told what songs they were singing for service this wk... So...

At church today... the first worship song after two praise songs is, guess what?? GREAT IN ALL THE EARTH !!! =] WOW... Indeed, God's wonderful ; and GREAT !! ^^ Glory to God !

Eventful Moments.

Eventful moments :)

* Friday
- Had proper cell once again.. 14 ppl jampacked my place but we had a great time. We`d Joe [Ruth`s BF.. Ooo] visiting from S'pore (: and since Jiahui and Tzu Ern joined us recently, we have more ppl now. Yeah.. not to forget our newbie to the cell - Raewen ! Looks like she`ll be joining this cell :) And, WB Nick Lim !
- Worship was okay.. my hands sweated while playing keys tho. "Ang" led worship. Haha.
- Started on the new series - Outlive Your Live by Max Lucado.. ^^ We watched a vid and discussed what we learnt from it.. Pretty insightful >.< Ruth led the "Word".

* Saturday
- Worship prac. Wai Teng`s back into action. Lisa was the co-worship leader !! I`m still an understudy but I`m part of team 3 at heart ! ;) Well.. I guess I kinda enjoyed this prac better... Maybe I`m starting to get used to setting up tho I`m still blurr on many things - wiring set-up, choosing the sounds for KB 2 etc. My official trainer, Amos, is now "training" me ! I had my "turn" to play but I wasn`t merely playing.. I literally closed by eyes and worshipped during the slow songs ~ It's good to be able to worship during worship prac. Though it is a "prac" we were worshipping in oneness :)

* Sunday - Today.
- Church in the morning. The sermon was really good. I was reminded to strive in prayer as I am choosing my course for uni. :) Today's Word was really timely. * Hebrews 11:6. :D
- Went for Curtin`s Open Day. Walked till my feet were sore.. Lols.. Gonna plan to apply for business law - Commerce.
Yeah, anyhow, I`ll still keep praying... :)

Spiritually Impoverished.

Devotion - Feed on the Word, ppl of the faith.

"Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." (Matthew 5:3)

This sounds very paradoxical... We have this perception that the poor possesses very little. The poor in spirit will inherit the riches in heaven as the Word of God puts it.

We may be rich on the outside but, we need to have some form of "spiritual impoverishment". First we need to recognize that we need GOD. JESUS, we want to be desperate for you !

The Rich Man. (Luke 18:18-24)
This rich man in the Bible asked Jesus what he must do to inherit eternal life. He had fulfilled the Law but he lacked one thing - He couldn't give up his riches to follow Jesus ! Jesus told him to go and sell his possessions to the poor - but he clung on to his riches that will one day rot and decay !

Zacchaeus. (Luke 19:1-10)
Zacchaeus was a very little man, and a very little man was he... Though he was small and vertically challenged (put it that way), he was a really wealthy man. A tax collector he was. But he realized his spiritual poverty... Jesus said that salvation has come to his house. (:

Once again, if you realize you`re poor in spirit, He`ll enrich you all the more... ^^ He`ll fill your life with so much that you would want MORE of Him ! =]

It is Truly Over !

I`m SO overwhelmingly relieved NOW that it is truly over ! (:

* Jumpin for joy -This action marks d end of my one & only prac test * Chem, of course. We had to do a titration between Iron (II) and potassium permanganate.

Today`s prac test was my first & my last. Guaranteed. (: No Science degree = no more prac tests from now onwards ! (Y). No more having to "worry" about it. Honestly I was not without worry (regarding it) although it was kinda the least of my worries...

However, I lost a mark or so for incorrect procedure. Prolly I wasn`t used to doing a prac test by myself. I kept concentrating on the titration... Plus I was trying to keep up with time. Anyway... So glad there`s not going to be another prac test (:

Walking in Victory (:

We can walk in victory 'cos of the justification by grace.

"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus." (Romans 3:23, 24)

The whole world is under sin. We are born into this world as sinners. Sorry, I got to refute the humanistic approach that "people are inherently good".

But the good news is we have been justified by grace through what Jesus has done on the cross - just as if I have never sinned (;

He has cancelled the penalty of sin and offered us eternal life. He makes us whole once again. Even when we have sinned, he would restore us and enable us to live life according to His will.

(Y) We can walk each day in victory 'cos we are set free from the grip of sin !

Kind, Tenderhearted and Forgiving.

Haha, I like this. Some Math genius must have thought of it.

"And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you." (Ephesians 4:32)

The Word of God advocates love <3. Love is a recurring theme in the Bible and this verse examines three aspects of love that is, kindness, "tender-heartedness", and forgiveness.

Kindle the spark of kindness.

Kindness simply means putting the needs of others before your own. :) We hear of the phrase, "one random act of kindness" but is kindness actually a random act?? Being kind is taking into consideration ways to meet the needs of others. Once you start being kind, you set the example for others to follow.

Be tender-hearted.

"Tender-hearted" describes someone who has a soft heart :D In other words, it carries the connotation of being able to emphatize with others. A person who is tender-hearted is sensitive to the feelings of others. You should rejoice with those who rejoice, and likewise, weep with those who weep.

Forgive and forget.

Both go hand in hand. Before you can forget, you need to forgive. Ideally, someone has wronged us before. So, we should learn to forgive eventhough it`s hard to forgive 'cos Jesus died and forgave the sins of the whole world!! Forgiveness indicates that you truly love someone though he has wronged you.

Three principles - Put them into practice ! We do not just wanna acquire head knowledge :)

Cream Rises to the Top

However, I ached all day & night so I had to sleep at 10-ish yest.

PTL for the weather :) Not a single drop of rain. Heaps of travelling but it opened me with opportunities to explore some new places.
Haven`t been to Mulaloo Beach before. It was my first time trying JusBurgers (I`m so ulu - "like rural n isolated".. dun even know it existed till yest).
Working in a TEAM served as another reminder that Together Everyone Achieve More. :D

The Amazing Stations.

Yeah, this is on Amazing Race 2011.

1. Lollipop band * Colouring accordingly - the clothes the guys were wearing. Something like that. Don`t really know how to explain the task.

2. Coffee Binh and Tea Leaves * Yes, this clue led us to Pr Binh`s house all the way in Nedlands. Task: Smelling coffee beans & matching them to their respective types (guessing) - after many attempts within 20 mins, we got 4 out of 10 correct; Also: plucking tea leaves. Tough man.

3. Mullaloo Beach at Joondalup. Yes we went north. * Water activity. Very strenuous. Seriously. This is the time when my muscles start to ache. Ouchhh. We had to collect water in a pool till it`s almost full.. The process is quite LONG !! And I got myself pretty dirty =/

4. The Great Escape at Hillarys - tourist spot. * Outdoor challenges like flying fox and all...But I didnt do that. Only a few had to, anyway. The rest of us had to find the pictures of some coloured and pictured tiles in real ~ and take pictures of them. We managed to finish the tasks on time. If we`d come in a minute later, our points will be forfeited...

5. Jus Burgers at Subi- next challenge was here. Everyone had to watch some vids and stack the burgers in the exact order as the vids. Five vids. It gets harder towards the end. The first 3 were correct. Got 60% right ! We`d lunch thereafter - yes, burger (and some chips too) :)

6. Dance - we went to this dance academy near Jus Burgers. So You Think You Can Dance? Lol, we had to pick a dance. - either barcata, salsa or zumba. My group picked barcata. The trainers taught us how to dance for 15 mins then we had to come up with our dance routines. Points were allocated. Quite fun actually.

7. Skipped it. I think it was at a beach. Too bad, didnt finish it. Swong called us back halfway when we were on our way there... Actually, it was okay to skip it. I was tired. Slept in the car...

This week has been pretty busy for me. It`s not all in my head. It`s real. I`m not imagining. I had already ceased online chatting unless it was necessary.

I`ve been having a bee in my bonnet about packing snacks for Amazing Race which is TOMORROW ! * Yahtzee * Obsessed by the idea of eating during the duration of the race. =P

And. Yea, I`ve relearnt Premiere Arabesque for my piano piece. :) However, trying to learn to play it "perfectly" would be a flight of fancy. It wouldn`t be practical (though it`s practical). If you don`t get this, nvm.

Clean Hands and a Pure Heart.

Devotion.

God wants us to come into His presence with clean hands and a pure heart. This is clearly outlined for us in Scripture as He is a holy God ! We are to come before Him in reverence and in awe of Him.

Why clean hands and a pure heart? (both are interrelated)

"Hands" are associated with your accomplishments in life. It gives a connotation of what you strive to do daily. To have clean hands is to always strive to do what is right and uphold integrity. We need to always have the intention to do what is RIGHT. What you think is right - based on the Word of God, not on the standards people impose on you, etc. So when we come before Him, we need to examine ourselves and make sure we are "right" before Him.

Pure means sincere. Sometimes we may go through the motion of doing what is right without the right motives. We must be sincere and genuine in whatever we seek to do. It`s the inside that counts. God sees our heart when we worship and pray to Him. Our heart is important as it is the wellspring of life.

This idiom implies that someone pretends to befriend you; but is intently a crafty person.

The first women fell into sin through the Serpent (snake)'s deceitful scheme of asking Eve to eat the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil (See Genesis 3). God forbidded her to do so !

Outwardly, the Serpent seems like it was befriending Eve when it asked her to eat the fruit but it had a nasty intention to pull Eve away from God.

As you noticed I haven`t actually blogged anything for yesterday 'cos I was preparing strenuously (*under good conditions) for today`s tutorial and Chem test.
Phew.. two loads off my shoulders :D

Tutorial was okay; "pretty good", if I were to rephrase my sentence. Well, I felt a lil' anxious before the presentation. But in psy, I learnt that a lil' bit of anxiety is good.
I was the first presener. Si-En and Nat came after me. Good stuff.

* Oh yes ! Before my presentation I received a bookmark.. courtesy from Jan (:
I guess I was kinda valued for being the first. Not only that, I believed it was due to the lil' sacrifice I made for Christine L. (:
Thank God, overall, no breakdowns, though there were slight mistakes n hesitations.

Chem objective questions were nothing compared to the calcs..

Teacher had promised us 30% calc but it seems like it is 50% ! :( Oh well. Over !

Keeping Company With Books

No, I`ve never not touched my books ever since term started.

I`m talking "books" in terms of studies. I gotta keep company with books until the "exam" is over. =/ Hmm.

So, today, I was studying Chemistry. Test on Monday.
AND I`m serious. No way am I gonna make notes in my computer and study in front of the screen. VERY DISTRACTING.

At least I`m controlling my blogging time. =D

A Small Sacrifice Worth Making

I mentioned that I`m doing an EALD tutorial presentation, didn`t I? Yes, the whole of next week, everyone is going to present their tutorials to the class. Today we had our lucky draw (Jan said "not-so lucky") for the orders of the presentations.

Being the fussy me (at first), I bargained my way through to get a new number though I got the "so-called" perfect no. 7. However, those who were already at class didn't wanted me to exchange numbers with them. It seemed like they were already contented with what they got.

And so, Christine happened to come late (she was the last one to come in) and of all the numbers she picked, she got no. 1. =O She actually told me 2 days ago that she HOPED so badly that she didn`t have to do the presentation on Monday. She was busy with studies and assignments. She hasn`t finished working on at least 70% of her tutorial.

Yes, she fret. She REALLY begged people to change their "numbers" with her but no one gave in to her (before she asked me). If they didn`t give in to me, they wouldn`t have given in to her either. She was really DESPERATE to change her "number". SHE NEEDED TO.

Yes, at the end, she DID persuade me to give her my "number". Yes, she sounded so desperate that she mentioned she was about to cry. At first I was reluctant to give in to her. But I somehow felt the Holy Spirit prompting me to do so. Again, I felt reluctant BUT I thought of her. And I felt again that God`s telling me to give up and make this little sacrifice.

In the end, we exchanged our lucky-draw "numbers". I got no. 1 and she got no. 7. I never whinged. Never complained. Never regretted handling over no. 7 to her. It was rightfully hers. I take her spot as the first presenter.

I believe the LORD really led me to do this. It`s a means of showing God`s love to her and being a blessing. She was SO ECSTATIC AND OVER-HAPPY !! She even told me that she will TREAT ME LUNCH one of these days... ^^ WHOA.

I guess this sacrifice was worth making. You know, Christine I care for you. :) I was thinking so hard but I made the sacrifice anyhow. I know it`s for your benefit. You can do it... !

Exam Timetable

Uni application opens in August. I just found out today... Man, what a short notice for me. However, I think it was the right day the news got to me.

Just this morning, I spoke to mom about picking my course to do in uni. And, yes, I`m really at my crucial point in life. I`m nearly at the point of decision-making. Plus, this decision is going to affect my future, for the choices you make today will affect your tomorrow.

My fellow brothers and sisters in the faith, please pray alongside me. (: Yes, my future is in God`s hands. Oh yes, Jeremiah 29:11. I don`t know what my future holds, but I know who holds my future. I lay it at your feet, O LORD.

And God, please guide me in my decision-making process. =] I need your wisdom to select my course wisely. (So far, I think I`m going to stick to either a humanity or commerce course but not too sure yet what specific course).

And, I believe You`ll show me the way, as I yield to you. Yup. ^^

Oh the peculiarity of English...

As I looked at a friend`s tumblr (midnightdance), this article caught my attention ! My friend reblogged it from a website. As I read it, some of the things mentioned sounded really familiar... some, not so.

Anyhow, it`s interesting to know how absurd, peculiar and out-of-the-world English may seem sometimes. Though it may seem like an alienated language, it is really fascinating !! =] This is it:-

Let’s face it - English is a crazy language. There is no egg in eggplant nor ham in hamburger; neither apple nor pine in pineapple. English muffins weren’t invented in England or French fries in France. Sweetmeats are candies while sweetbreads, which aren’t sweet, are meat. We take English for granted. But if we explore its paradoxes, we find that quicksand can work slowly, boxing rings are square and a guinea pig is neither from Guinea nor is it a pig.

And why is it that writers write but fingers don’t fing, grocers don’t groce and hammers don’t ham? If the plural of tooth is teeth, why isn’t the plural of booth beeth? One goose, 2 geese. So one moose, 2 meese? One index, 2 indices? Doesn’t it seem crazy that you can make amends but not one amend? If you have a bunch of odds and ends and get rid of all but one of them, what do you call it?

If teachers taught, why didn’t preachers praught? If a vegetarian eats vegetables, what does a humanitarian eat? In what language do people recite at a play and play at a recital? Ship by truck and send cargo by ship? Have noses that run and feet that smell? How can a slim chance and a fat chance be the same, while a wise man and a wise guy are opposites?

You have to marvel at the unique lunacy of a language in which your house can burn up as it burns down, in which you fill in a form by filling it out and in which an alarm goes off by going on. English was invented by people, not computers, and it reflects the creativity of the human race (which, of course, isn’t a race at all). That is why, when the stars are out, they are visible, but when the lights are out, they are invisible.

Awesome. I LOVE this ! ;) The people who came up with "words and phrases for a particular situation or context" did a good job in making us try to understand why they are used. HAHA !

Welcome Back. Semester 2 has commenced. It was exciting to be able to meet my friends again after the seemingly long holidays. Many of them have arrived back safely to Perth after having had a fruitful forthnight or so in their hometowns - Malaysia, Singapore, China, you name it. (: Wow, they actually changed their hairstyle in some ways. Some came back with totally straight, some have their hair coloured with red or brown streaks and others curled their hair ~ ;P So outstanding ! =)

Spy Kids Camp - This is My Story !

"Just the day before camp, I was just mulling over what camp is going to be like and how the atmosphere is going to be. I believe it was the Holy Spirit who brought Ephesians 3:20 into my mind that afternoon. The next morning I heard that exact same verse mentioned again by one of the leaders during the prayer time !! God`s so good ! I really felt the LORD`s presence at the camp !! GOD was really present. And, apart from Him I could do nothing (John 15:4)."

"I never imagined serving in kids ministry but serving in camp was a God-given opportunity. He opened the door for me to serve and lead the children into worship and into His presence so that they will experience Him... I got to interact with the children though I`m really not "gifted" in handling children. God reminded me of the verse: "Let all the little children come to be and do not hinder them... the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." (forgot the ref)."

"Overall, a huge amount of sacrifice of my pleasure and study time was required of me, but serving at camp was for His kingdom`s cause. I came back tired for the past three days. Still feeling tired atm... But as I look back I never regretted."

"Camp was exhilarating... I saw that the kids had so much fun and many of them didnt leave empty handed. Object lessons on Bible stories and peer pressure had relevance for the kids. The skits were awesome. Games were good. Food was fantastic. Oh yes the team names were so cool. Yes, the camp ended on a treble as the kids in every group performed a mini the concert for all the parents who came to watch them. And all the helpers did a great job..."

"All glory to God ! I attribute praise and honor to God for the seeds that have been sown into the children`s lives. They will take root and bear fruit... So thankful to God ! Basically, I`m more like sharing my little experience rather than the programme and stuff (this post). So yeah. I guess that`s about it."

Day 3

- Camp ended on a treble ! ;)

The parents of the SpyKids turned up for the grand finale... ^^ However jam-packed the hall was, it was filled with an overwhelming atmosphere of fun + excitement...

After worship + exhortation, it was SHOW time ! :D The time had finally come for the kids to portray their talents via concerts from each group ! The kids have taken time off (around 2 hours) to come up with something for the concerts, along with the leaders' aid.

A great applause to all the three groups for the spectacular showcases of talents ;) Some groups did praise songs with actions, while others did skits. My team did TV advertisements ;D There was a great sense of humor. Haha. Words can describe how much effort they have put in ~ * The kids were soooo CUTE !

And not to forget, the awards presentation !!! Every group won an award !

Day 2

- It`s the second day of camp + everyone is more pumped up ! ;) Oh I forgot to mention that they already gave us our camp T-shirts yesterday (for all the helpers only), + I wore it today for the photo session ! (; * We had our usual praise + worship + then the kids headed off for games !! =P Then break for tea. We`d photo sessions. After tea, Jeannette did a spy quiz ! It was awesome how the kids responded so quickly to all the questions being asked... Hmmm... then it was lesson time, + memory verse decode ~ Later the teams all prepared for their concert for tmr >.< The second half of the camp was after lunch when the excitement builds up slightly more ! :D There was another lesson :) Yes before we all left, everyone did their cheers ! *

So much has happened ~ I`m so glad to be an agent of blessing !! ;)

Spy Kids Camp 2011

Day 1

* Apologize for my poor spy language as I`m not very fluent in it. Oh ! I need to separate the word "Spy" + Kids". Finally, I realized where my mistake lies...

* I woke up in the wee hours of the morning just for this mission to accomplish, that is, to go for camp, + serve the little agents (the Spy Kids.. oh yes I got it right !). >.<"

So far, so good ! ^^

* Today, an assembly of agents, both children + adults, gathered for the Spy Kids Camp 2011 ! (: The Spy Kids agents were to undergo their first camp or "training" today...while we leaders conducted the training (: First thing in the morning, the BIG agents [the leaders] gathered for a time of prayer to commit the camp into God`s hands.

* Agent Red prayed + mentioned seeing the rainbow in the sky on the way to church ~ It signifies God`s promise of His love for everyone of us. Awhile later, she prayed + mentioned Ephesians 3:20 + that was the verse I mentioned in the previous post ! God`s so GOOD, He put into our hearts the same verse ! (:

Training commenced.

* Every training ground has rules, right? Agent Red briefly mentioned the rules and made sure the Spy Kids agents followed them ! Then
- intro: Spy Camp video etc...

* Next we had worship ! It went well I guess? (: After worship the Spy Kids agents were led to play games (; Training is surely fun !! I even played one of the games... Cos there weren` t enough children ~ Hahaha, ahem... Agent MiCH !! =P hmmm... not bad, not bad !! so after games, we had tea... (; And after that, the team bonded and came up with their own cheers ! Oh yes, being a forgetful agent, I forgot to mention that I am in team M16 ! >.< Our awesome cheer is as follows (you must hear it for yourself):

* Then, we headed for lunch ^^ All the spies are HUNGRY ! Ooo... *stomachs growling*

Lesson 1
Hmmm...then we resume back + had our first lesson !! It`s so interesting - Agent Red talked about the story of the 12 spies who spied Canaan, of which two proved to be strong + courageous... (: They were supposed to take over the land...
Firstly God told Moses to send 12 spies to spy the land flowing with milk and honey (Canaan) ! So the 12 spies went on their mission to spy the land... They reported back to Moses that the people in the land were BIG strong people that were formidable !! (unable to be overcomed !). 2 showed their courage + strength by believing that they can do it with God by their sides ! The other 10 were fearful and cowardly !

Big lessons for the Spy Kids Agents !
- Be strong and courageous
- Obedience brings success
- God is always with you

The Day Before SpyKids Camp 2011

The next few days is going to be truly significant ! I`m looking forward to the next three days ~ SpyKids Camp 2011. =)

The testimonial for the camp will be written in one of the pages of my history... ;) I shall say I am a part of "history-making" as I invest my time in the camp ! I`m sure I`m going to bless the hearts of the young ones... God is going to do something amazing that I can never fathom ! [Ephesians 3:20]. Theme of the camp is "Be Strong and Courageous" [Joshua 1:8]

Junkies All Day...

So my stomach is a mini junkyard now. I literally filled my growling stomach with junkies, from fish and chips all the way to Maccas food (ice-cream, burgers, chips again). Plus I`ve headache maybe, due to overeating junkies? It came before my suuuuper late dinner [Maccas].

I don`t wanna mention eating dad`s cake. It`s actually sticky-date pudding made in the form of cake ;D Lol, and definitely not missing out on the "rameskin" type ones ~ Plus, my parents' frens gave us an orange cake [home-made] and I had some of it... Whoa, junkie all day =/

Went out for my dad`s birthday. Freo, to be exact. Went around Freo and drove around the town. Hmmm. It was a good family time. Came back around 4 something, did some studying and chilled out. I`ll remember today anyhow, despite having regretted eating so much junkies ! =)

I found myself some decent quotes from Tumblr. I`m always on the lookout for quotes that would capture my attention completely and fascinate me to the fullest, not just pictures. Study During Study Break !

Yeah, I FINALLY got the hang of studying (today) during this holidays which will end next week.. :( No ! The good old days are going to disappear very soon, meaning that there`s gonna be a busy term awaiting... =/ Poor us !

TODAY;
Today, as strange as it may seem, was an unexpected time of the week when you`d see me put my heads in front of the books. It`s a Sunday... I still can`t believe that I studied, all the more, in an enclosed space [whoops, did I just use a denigratory term for my room?]. >.<" I never felt claustrophobic for that duration of time ~

Well, at least I know that I`ve worked at Chemistry which is a miracle, really. With acids and bases, you`ll never go wrong if you dilligently put an effort to study... Calculations constitutes 30% of the oncoming test, which isn`t as bad as I thought. So, all I have to do is pull through the theory bits and memorize what` needed.

So far okay?
* Yeah I remembered not to forget to study Psy ! But I gotta study the awfully hard personality topic. Hmmm. And I better start touching Math before the holidays end because if I don`t, I`m not going to move forward... Sorry I`ve to say I didn`t have ample time to read "The Spare Room by Kathryn Lomer." =/ Maybe too engrossed in my tutorial =] Wanna "perfect" it so to speak. Ohh, not to mention, budgeting is the last on my list ~

# 1. Worship Practice or Training

So, as it turned out to be, not everyone came when the clock striked five. At least I turned up on time. (: But we didn`t have to wait too long before we begin the setting up of the equipments and thereafter the practice or training, in my case. And for your information, the songs we`re singing tomorrow are: Hosanna (Paul Baloche), You by Hillsong Live, Shout to the Lord, Divine Exchange, and a ministry song (unsure of, at the moment).

After we settled everything on stage, Pr Jeff had a short debriefing with us Team 3. (: First and foremost, everyone introduced their names and their roles for the benefit of the newbies. And, for me, I`d to say that "I`m an understudy for keyboard". WOW, I learned what "understudy" actually meant in an instant ! (It means an intern or trainee) (; We had several other trainees as well. Pr Jeff opened us in prayer before our practice commenced.

Joe and Sam whom I deem my trainers for KB (keyboard) that night, taught me how to set up the keyboards. I guess that was really part of my training. Pr Jeff actually told them to teach me how to do the setting up. Due to unfamiliarity, I did the minimal while watching Joe and Sam go through the setting-up motions. One day, I promise I`ll get the hang of it. On top of that, my "trainers" went through what playing KB is like... For instance, the sound effects. (;

I`d to use earphones to listen to the sounds (even the KB). It would be impossible to hear a great frequency of the sounds directly. They provided me with the earphones since I didn`t bring mine (I didn`t know I`ve to, anyway). First round, when they practice, I observed them playing. The second round, I played the first and second songs for tomorrow...

It was pretty alright I guess. Though my strength was pretty much sapped...I manage to prolong the two-hour practice. I reckon I forgot what it is like to practice for two hours non-stop. I survived and didn`t feel the growling of my stomach (yes, I munched on a muesli bar before I left for practice) ! (: Now, I guess I`ll eagerly wait for my dinner which is on the way ~ and rest my muscles. (;

Special thanks to Pr. Jeff (Worship Leader for this week), Luke(y) (Lead Muso for Team 3) and the rest of the team for your support and efforts to make me feel belonged into the worship team. Appreciate you all heaps ! Give your best tomorrow ! (;

It`s a humbling, not a belittling act to acknowledge that I must decrease and allow Christ to increase in my life. =] It`s time to really surrender everything to Him once again and allow Him to take control of my life.

The familiar two-word phrase "Sweet 16" rings in my ears every now and then. I realized that dozens of my friends turn 16 in July, particularly.

I guess turning 16 is a pivotal point that will lead to greater challenges. Not only do people come of age around 16, but they have to pick up more responsibilities as time goes by.

Every girl`s "Sweet 16" is to be cherished and remembered to the fullest. There`s a significance about turning 16 that lies within the heart of every girl. Today, one of my good friends, SARAH SEE celebrates her "Sweet 16".

Sarah See - just the mention of her name and all these things come to my mind >> A Damon Salvatore fan, a lover for animals, a tumblogger, someone who loves watching movies (right?), AND basically, a friend of mine who`s just so unique in her own little ways.

Evaluation of Holidays

Hmmm. I guess the holidays have been pretty productive so far... I`m almost done with EALD tutorial. Just gotta make sure I touch up real well on it. Yeah. The Psy production task isn`t too bad, just that I`m still in the process of finding good criteria for self-help resources.

Did some studying already. Not too bad, revised some Chem and Psy. Did notes on both and am still doing notes. Haven`t touched Math since holidays started. Must get back to it. LOL. Don`t ignore the weakest subject, Michelle ! FOCUS. Concentrate. I shan`t procrastinate !

Spy Kids Camp next week. Had a prac on Tuesday with Aunty Shareen, Gideon n Nooch. =) Half the time we were learning the new songs and figuring the chords. We definitely need another practice next week, which we`ll have. Count it a joy to serve and use my holidays to do so.

Worship training this Sat. =) The team is all set, right? ;) Going to learn the songs for worship this Sunday, though I`m not playing. [yet]. This week Joe and Sam are on keys. Hahaha. Hmmm. I never played Run on keys before. =P So that must be a challenge. Let`s see how it goes. And, we`re singing Hosanna by Paul Baloche, Shout to the LORD by Hillsong, etc...

But, the food was just fantastic ! I consider it a simple BBQ on a perfectly fine and sunny day. MUST thank the LORD for the good weather ! ^^ We dined in on plates informally, and ate very juicy and delicious chicken, sausages with long rolls, junkies [not to mention], salad etc.

Had those moments with some friends and went back thereafter. =) Enjoyed the outdoors slightly but it was a good moment of eating and chatting ;D I`m sure everyone had a great time ! >.<

I think you forgot that I got these pics of you with me, right? These pics were taken wayyy back in August last yr =] HAHAHA ! I remembered how I knew Elena, from my other fellow schoolmates. At that time, I`ve already graduated but got a chance to know Elena at ISCF.

Got to know her a fair bit and even after I left to come here, we still kept in touch at one stage and I eagerly found out everything about her. I love you, Elena ! You`re just so opened in sharing ur life experiences ~ And it`s really fun having you as a friend ;]

Spy Kids Camp 2011 is on the way... >.<

Hi, I`m Agent Michelle !! =) You`ll have no idea what I would be like, kids, coz I haven`t served in kids ministry before. Only the helpers do, I guess? Right, helpers? =)

Next Thursday to Saturday, you`ll see me playing the keyboard during worship and I`ve been allocated into one of the groups ! =] * Watch out for me, yeah !

I can feel the rush of excitement along with 20 over agents from FCC and a bunch of spy kids ! =] Spy Kids camp is just next week ! Not only am I serving in the worship department, I`m going to be a part of the camp ! ^^

Addressing everyone.

We`re all gonna get a camp T-shirt - I heard it`s green - which is gonna be paired up with jeans. LOL. Serious. I`m indirectly quoting what I was told in the email I received ;D On top of that, I`ll have to somehow dress as a spy [how?] with spy gadgets [what to bring?]. LOL.

To ensure that I`ll not be as blurr as a squid, I`ll be attending the meeting this Sunday ! To all spy kids campers + helpers, I`ll see you right there ! =D Have a blast preparing for camp ! God`s going to do something in all our lives. Be strong + of good courage ! ^^

Haha, the more I go out with her, the more opportunity I`ve to improve my Cantonese ! ^^ I spoke Cantonese to her, maybe 30% overall? Was speaking Cantonese with very little eloquence. I think it`s not even eloquent at all. LOL, but it was good fun ;)

Now, I wanna ask you a favor, "Can you bring me to HK?" LOL. =] Now I`ve quite a no. of HK friends.. and supposing I got feedback that there`s awesome dimsum [and Chinese food] there, I might consider going to HK someday ~ But I think Happy is the first friend [for now] that I`ll aim at in asking her to bring me there ;D LOL.

Welcome the Wongs !

Welcome the Wongs to Perth. My friend`s family relocated last week ~ Si-En was already here before they came over ! =]

Went over to her new home yesterday. It was pretty bare because they bought their furnitures here. But, quite a nice + strategic place ^^

Had dinner with a few others. The food was okay la. At least I`d ice-cream [yay] and half a Coles cookie later on.

We played a few random games since there were a few of us "young ones". :D I remembered the "Whee, Bounce + Poing" one. And, the "Never Have I". And, the kids played some lame games which I DIDN`T join it.. Aside from games it was just some chitterchatters ~

It was nice meeting Si-En`s other family members whom I`ve not met before. =] Talking about sch, Hui-En MUST definitely meet my sister since they are doing the same subject, photography to be precise. And, I guarantee you, Min-En, that you`ll like Perth more than Kuching ;D

Haha, ohh, I took a peek at one room.. The three sisters shared a room. NICE ! =D Sorry, no access to the rest. Nvm =P My family stayed on the longest. ;) Of course, we always do, for any functions >.< Had a great time with my dear friend, and the family. =]

Since we live so nearby now, we can go to each others' houses to study + discuss homework + assignments. BUT, I`m sorry Si-En, that you`ve to travel a fair bit to college. And, to end, always feel free to drop by my place. ^^

Hooray, I`m on a two-week study break ! =] Despite that, I have to exert a high level of restraint on going online, relaxing, doodling... the list goes on ! =P

God`s Goodness is Great !

Can someone good be great? Of course. =] I can attest to that. God, in His goodness, has shown Himself to be The Great I Am. =] It`s rewarding to know how He answers me when I ask for something. ^^

Yesterday, I got the question I wanted for my assessment. This is not the first time. After having prepared for two questions, I just have the faith to believe that one of them [that I wanted] would end up being the question I`ll do.

And yesterday, I was praying to God, cos I lost my grey comb. I deem it the "Mystery of the Missing Grey Comb." I never really lose combs or misplace them ! It has been missing for a few weeks already ~ So I used a mini yellow comb to substitute my grey one. Today, I realized my yellow comb was missing too. As I prayed for God to lead me to the place to find the yellow comb, guess what I found? MY GREY COMB ! =]

Today, I lost my mobile phone. It actually dropped out from my grey hoodie [I knew it...but couldn`t find it]. I frantically searched high + low for it ~ even recalled the places I was in. Then I saw Sandra and told her...she missed call my mobile like three times, only to discover it`s nowhere to be found. [I went to one place to find]. She then told me to go to Students Services. And, guess what? I FOUND IT THERE ! ;) Some honest person picked it up and handed it over to Students Services. Thanks Sandra for your help, anyway.

I remembered the parables of the lost coin, lost sheep and the lost son from Scripture. I rejoice for what I lost was found ;)

=] God`s goodness is great ; how can I not testify to that?

Sweet-tooth Mode.

I relapsed into my "sweet-tooth mode" once again, relishing the good food that tastes purely sweet because of the amount of sugar it contains... I think someone has to remind me again that sugar has an extremely detrimental value.
But there`s only one excuse for eating those sweets again... It`s my sister`s Sweet Sixteenth. But, it seems like eating sweet food has been a vicious cycle... How can it be?

The funny part is, I keep drooling over these sort of food, more so, when I see them displayed on my friends' tumblrs. However, I want to just put a STOP to craving for all these. Maybe I still haven`t been educated enough of the detriment sugar can bring if too much of it is eaten.

Perhaps, my mind keeps on focussing on the heightening effect sugar has on mood. Okay, I shall make a final say, that I`ve enough sugar [a bit is okay, my rationale] to enhance my mood.

Oh well, at least there`s a way out in every temptation [1 Corinthians 10:13].

Chill Out There.

You may think... "Chill out where? There?" >.< What I mean is, "There is chill out there." =P The mild winter days have suddenly disappeared. ;( This month is indeed the peak of winter.

I`ve started to cuddle up under my thick quilt that I`ve set apart for winter and winter alone :) My quilt must be very privileged :P

Oh yes, I forgot to mention that it dropped to two degrees last night ! GASPS ~

And, I`m also wearing my enormously thick jackets + hoodies to sleep. If I counted correctly, I`ve been wearing 7 layers of clothings to sleep.

Yes, the chill out there permeates into the house.. it really does. =/ I`m feeling the cold each night. Thankfully, I`m in the pink of health. [shall not use the word, "still"].

* NO WORRIES. *

I`m gonna be immune to any sickness, with God`s strength and sustainability. My second winter will be a totally different one. =]

I`ll go through it without sheer frustration of coughing, lying down in bed + not being able to do anything. Yupp.. coping with the cold ;D

Fellowship with Vibers...

A few cells shared in a fellowship meal yesterday at Ben`s house.

"Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing..." [Hebrews 10:25]

So, FINALLY, they came up with something ! * exclaims in delight ! ^^ We didn`t have cell for close to two months now. I was dying for fellowship, which we had, yesterday ! =]

Thank God ~

So, before my very eyes were food, drinks and desserts ; all layout n brought by each of us. Swong brought her delicious dessert ; dunno what it`s called. Tze Liang came with his curry which was really nice ! >.< Some of them brought salad... Thanks I relished the raisins from the salad which nobody eats, really. ;) Not to forget, Jess brought sticky-date pudding which was my FAVOURITE... And I found out that she`s a sweetoothHOLIC just like me =D I packed back sum since she offered ^^ Whoo...

I didn`t know many people there, BUT at least Charity kept me company ;D I met a few other girls and guys from other cells.. =] After our meal, we just played pictionary and went into a time of worship. That was it. I think we fellowshipped the most. That`s the good thing.

2011 has been a blast !

Must also thank mom and dad for giving me the privilege of coming here for a good education. Eventhough education is not the most important thing, I`m so glad to enjoy my study life ~ Thank you for always supporting me and ensuring that everything is working well for me... ;D

Visitation of Friends !

My church "friends" from back home came here for holidays. So we met up with them ! Uncle Thomas, Aunty Stephanie, Sarah, Gavin, Kayley and Damien.

It`s so heartwarming to have them... =] While it`s the kids' and teens' first time to Perth, both the parents have been to Perth. So they went visiting many places which includes our place ; YEAH, MY HOUSE IS A TOURIST SPOT ! =P BUT only for friends who come from overseas or other states. >.<

They came over to our place for dinner ;D We had Western ! My favourite ^^ Mom bought 4 boxes of pizzas from Eagle`s Boys ! They are fantabulous ! I almost felt guilty of eating three pieces of pizzas. On top of that, we`d home-baked potatoes with cheese oozing out ~ Oh they all LOVE it...wasn`t enough ! ;( I love it too but I think I can eat it anytime ;) And... we savoured the salad which was as good as the rest of the good =D

Later on, we had desserts ; choc Bavarian cake [the instant one ; haha], ice-cream which was creamylicious and I sneaked to eat some tit-bits: Grain Waves were fantastic. ;D Love the sweet chilly flavour and the sour cream one ! >.< " Caught up with them after dinner - and we took a few photos ; here are a few...
